United Co-op's Food Group has announce changes to its management team following the retirement of Martin Flaherty as general manager--retail operations. Sean Toal, general manager--marketing and trading, will succeed Flaherty.

Toal has been involved in managing space planning and general merchandising projects for the 344 Food Group stores. He will now be in overall charge of these stores.

He will remain a member of the food executive team.
