(NYSE:AGN) today announced that due to the overwhelming adoption of the improved brimonidine solution ALPHAGAN(R) P (Brimonidine tartrate ophthalmic solution) 0.15%, preserved with Purite(R), the company intends to focus its manufacturing, sales and marketing efforts on ALPHAGAN(R) P and plans to discontinue U.S. distribution of Alphagan(R) (Brimonidine tartrate ophthalmic solution) 0.2%.
