THOLSTRUP'S SAGA NAMED GRAND CHAMPION CHEESE AT MICHIGAN STATE FAIR
DETROIT, Sept. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Tholstrup Dairies USA, Inc. (Norton Shores, Mich.) was honored at the Michigan State Fair for its Saga with Garlic and Chives, selected as the 1990 Grand Champion Cheese in the Blue Ribbon Dairy Products Challenge.
Judges named the new Saga, a white, soft-ripened, triple-cream cheese, as the most excellent cheese from all of the five cheese categories: Colby, Cheddar, Aged Cheddar, Foreign (hard) and Foreign (semi-soft).
A recent import to the United States, Saga was developed in Denmark and requires a high degree of cheese-making expertise. ...
