COURT RULES THAT AMI COPIED IBM LARGE SYSTEM SOFTWARE CODE

ARMONK, N.Y., Sept. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- A federal court in Philadelphia has ruled that copying by Allen-Myland, Inc. (AMI), of IBM software known as "3090 microcode" violated IBM copyrights. AMI's copying was also found to involve the distribution of copies of the microcode with false and misleading labels which were intended by AMI to mislead customers into believing that the copies were created and distributed by IBM.
