The Denver Nuggets' search for a head coach began to heat up Friday. Of course, that's old news to the end-of-the-week lunch crowd at the Denver Diner.
Yes, that was Nuggets general manager Kiki Vandeweghe chowing on a Santa Fe Burrito with no cheese as he discussed possibilities with Dallas assistant coach Donn Nelson, who munched a club sandwich.
``I think it's exciting what they've done,'' Nelson said after his first formal interview for an NBA head coaching position. ``Whoever is the guy picked to orchestrate it is going to be a lucky man.''
