NEWARK, N.J. -- This is an electric power advisory from PSE&G, the utility serving 1.9 million electric customers in New Jersey, and PJM, the electric power grid operator for more than 25 million customers in the Mid-Atlantic region.
PJM and PSE&G expect higher than usual demand for electricity today due to the region's continuing hot weather during the season's second heat wave. To help prevent potential power supply problems, PJM and PSE&G suggest that customers use electricity prudently, specifically between the hours of noon and 7PM, when demand for electricity is highest.
