HISTORICAL MARKER WILL BE UNVEILED AT SITE OF GRAND LODGE
PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- The fourth in a series of historical markers identifying important sites in African American history will be unveiled Saturday, Sept. 8, at 10 a.m., at Prince Hall Grand Lodge, according to Temple University historian Charles L. Blockson.
The Lodge, located at 4301 N. Broad St., hosts African American fraternal orders meetings.
In all, 74 African American Historical Markers are being funded through a grant from the William Penn Foundation to the Charles L. Blockson Afro-American Collection at Temple University.
