Look out, all you rubber processors
Gary O'Connor knows more about thermoplastic elastomers than most. His colleagues at Monsanto call him the gorilla, because he gets his way in nearly every debate on elastomers. Here he comments on the industry.
Gary O'Connor has some advice for the rubber industry. "They should get into thermoplastic elastomers." O'Connor is director of Monsanto Co.s elastomer activities, and is therefore in charge of the development of Santoprene and Monsanto's other thermoplastic elastomers. Nevertheless, he has good reasons for recommending this policy.
