Chemical-based diet aids soft
CDR Roundup--These are lean times for manufacturers of chemical-based diet aids. Sales of these products have plummeted in large part because of the explosion of the meal replacement market.
Total sales of these diet aids in all trade classes were $163 million in 1989, down 15% from prior-year fiscal results, says a Thompson Medical Co. spokeswoman.
