A farm bill signed into law this spring by President Bush will keep taxpayer dollars going to farmers who need help overcoming fallen crop prices or take their land out of production to make it habitable for wildlife.
But farmers aren't the only ones who will reap farm subsidies in Central New York. Over the past six years, the government money also went to business leaders, a city police chief, a Sikh temple and a college professor.
