I'm interested in developing a new repertoire of relevant folk songs around the theme of modern agriculture and the urban/rural tension in the countryside.
I live in southeast PA. I work as an agricultural county agent. Everyday, I see and hear the real problems of the people in the families that make our food. I'm not interested in bashing modern agriculture. Modern agriculture feeds us and frees us. The people that comprise the cogs in that huge food machine sacrifice a lot to provide us our American standard of living. People in the country have lost their voice.
