Specialty chemical and resin supplier Sartomer Co. has expanded lab space and employment at its headquarters in response to increased product lines and demand.
The company added 25 percent more lab space and 16 percent more lab personnel, Sartomer said. A spokesman could not give actual figures for the lab's size or number of employees.
The expansion comes on the heels of the 2001 creation of Sartomer's Specialty Polymers group. The new group is the result of the 2000 reorganization of its French corporate parent TotalFinaElf, a combination of TotalFina and Elf Aquitaine and the world's fourth-largest oil and chemical company.
