RENO, Nev. -- By unanimous ballot, the delegates at the 138th Grand Lodge Convention of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks elected Roger True as their national president for the 2002-03 year. As True was escorted to the dais at the front of the Reno-Sparks Convention Center arena, he was greeted by the spontaneous applause of the 10,000 Elks attending the convention. The confidence that led the Elks to elect True as Grand Exalted Ruler, the Order's title for its highest office, was again echoed by the delegates.
