Call them freelance secretaries (just don't say 'stenographers')
Many people would call a secretarial service only if their resume needed updating or they had a doctoral thesis to be typed. Yet many small businesses, self-employed individuals and entrepreneurs see their secretarial service as a valuable business partner that completely takes the place of a regular secretary.
