Fresh Choice, Inc. (Nasdaq:SALD) today reported net income of $474,000 or $0.07 per diluted share, for the second quarter of 2002. This is a decrease of 31.1% compared to net income of $688,000 or $0.10 per diluted share, for the second quarter of 2001.

Year-to-date (the first 24 weeks of 2002), the Company reported net income of $587,000 or $0.08 per diluted share. This is a decrease of 40.6% compared to net income of $989,000 or $0.14 per diluted share, for the first 24 weeks of 2001.
