DIAMOND BAR - The traffic noise from the adjacent 57 Freeway can be a distraction. The practice greens, where a dropped ball will roll off the putting surface, often draw head- shaking comments of what Masters participants must endure on the impossible slopes of Augusta National. And, as longtime regulars will attest, Diamond Bar Country Club really looks different in the wake of a recent Southern California blight that took its toll on the layout's huge eucalyptus trees.
