Jul. 11--CARD CARRYING CROOKS: Yesterday we told the tale of a diplomat who had received a business card from a man he found prowling in his Tokyo house. The intruder, it turned out, was not a burglar but a security guard responding to a silent alarm.
But this was Japan, and the notion of a burglar having a business card might be entirely plausible. Reader B.M. supplied the following elaboration:
