ALBA, Texas _ Kenneth "Gator" Jones is the clown prince of fishing guides. He grew up in the West Texas town of Brownfield. There wasn't much water, so Jones never got too picky about the kind of fish he caught.
"We fished for whatever would bite," he says. "My uncle liked to catch fish and eat them, so we fished a lot for catfish." Jones may be the only licensed guide in Texas who specializes in jug lining for catfish. Jones is one of the few licensed guides who's also an ordained minister. He's surely the only Texas fishing guide who works as a professional clown in venues as big as Las Vegas and Reno, Nev.
