Northrop president is named chairman
Kent Kresa, Northrop Corp. president and chief executive officer was elected chairman of the board on Sept. 19.
Kresa, 52, succeeds Thomas V. Jones, 70, who is retiring as chairman. Kresa retains his responsibilities as president and CEO. Jones will remain a member of the board.
Jones, who turned 70 this summer, retired as chief executive officer last year and has not been active in the management of the company since then. He said his retirement as chairman was made possible by the smooth evolution that has taken place ...
