CHANEL TO OPEN STORE IN SOUTH COAST PLAZA
COSTA MESA, Calif. -- Chanel's 11th U.S. boutique opens Monday at South Coast Plaza.
The one-level boutique has 5,600 square feet, of which 3,500 square feet is devoted to selling space. Arie Kopelman, Chanel's president, anticipates the boutique will do in excess of $1,000 a square foot and rank among the top half of Chanel's stores.
South Coast Plaza represents Chanel's largest one-level boutique and is only the second located in a shopping center. The other shopping center site is in Ala Moana in Honolulu. Kopelman said, "Orange County was the big hole we wanted to fill. We didn't have fashion ...
