Two separate fires broke out about the same time Wednesday night, keeping dozens of Syracuse firefighters busy on both ends of Townsend Street.
One fire at 1018 N. Townsend St., a vacant home, was reported to 911 at 8:33 p.m.
Three minutes later, a fire was reported at 80 Presidential Plaza in the Harrison House high-rise apartment building off South Townsend Street.
There were no injuries in either fire.
About 35 firefighters responded to the Harrison House, where a grease fire started in the kitchen of a 17th-floor apartment, said Syracuse Fire Chief John Cowin.
