PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla., and COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Nationwide, one of the country's largest insurance and financial service organizations, and the PGA TOUR have entered into a five-year partnership, beginning in 2003, for Nationwide to become the umbrella sponsor of what currently is known as the BUY.COM TOUR.
The announcement was made today by PGA TOUR Commissioner Tim Finchem and Nationwide CEO W.G. Jurgensen.
The Tour's new name, logo, brand positioning, schedule, purse levels and other details will be unveiled later this year. In addition to featuring the Nationwide name, the Tour's new name will feature a much closer tie to the PGA TOUR brand identity ...
