Toray unveils new Shin-Gosen yarns. (Toray Industries introduces new polyester yarn)

TORAY UNVEILS NEW SHIN-GOSEN YARNS

NEW YORK - New high-twist polyesters with unusual shrinkage properties that give fabrics a soft natural touch were unveiled here by Toray Industries, Osaka, Japan, at its Shin-Gosen polyester fabric exhibition last week.

The fabrics owed their supple drape and worsted-like hand to the different shrinkage properties of various filaments in the yarns, taking effect during the manufacturing process for the fabrics.

The show, held at the New York Helmsley Hotel, was beamed by invitation only at Toray's customers producing better to bridge apparel.
