Drug chains rethink hair care
CDR Roundup--Chain drug retailers are rethinking strategies in the hair care category, and the results are beginning to be seen at stores across the country, as many alter their planograms.
At both Drug Emporium and Peoples Drug Stores, hair care sections are being arranged not only by price point, but by family as well. For example, all Revlon Inc.'s Flex products, including styling aids, are grouped together on the shelf, as opposed to merchandising Flex Spritz in a spritz section. Value brands are housed together, segueing into midprice offerings. Professional lines follow.
