Indoor Air '90 speaker says simple strategies can prevent IAQ problems
TORONTO - Eighty percent of Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) problems can be identified by a simple walk-through investigation, said Dr. Shirley Hansen, speaking to attendees at the Indoor Air '90 meeting.
"We have a responsibility to say to building owners and operators that in four out of five cases, the causes of poor air quality are pretty obvious and these problems can be prevented," said Hansen. "Too much of what we have learned is being overshadowed by arguments over the preferred investigative approach and a reliance on shoving more air through a building."
