Two local firms near goals in wound-healing market
Two Torrey Pines Mesa firms have moved a step closer in bringing their wound-healing products to the medical industry, as each tries to carve a separate piece of a multimillion-dollar market.
Telios Pharmaceuticals is awaiting Federal Drug Administration approval to market a gel that helps speed the healing of wounds. Telios said the entire wound-healing market is more than $4 billion annually, and its product, Telio-Derm, would compete in a $700 million segment of that total market.
