HIAA: Expand Medicaid Coverage For Poor Children
WASHINGTON - The Health Insurance Association of America is backing a major effort to expand Medicaid coverage for poor children.
The effort, which is being supported by several business and trade groups, as well as the Children's Defense Fund, is geared towards increasing the Medicaid budget by $65 million per year or $525 million over five years to provide Medicaid coverage for the three million children in the United States who live under the poverty level, but are not covered by Medicaid.
