Jul. 16--Beth Ness says people have a tendency to over-vaccinate horses. So she was cautious before deciding to vaccinate hers against the West Nile virus.
"I wasn't going to do it until I heard it was in the area," Ness said Monday, as Dr. Jeff Kramer of Kindness Animal Hospital vaccinated several horses Beth and Brad Ness' farm about 20 miles southwest of Grand Forks.
Ness decided to go ahead with the vaccinations after hearing that state and local health officials had confirmed a Grand Forks County horse was euthanized in the first suspected case of the virus in ...
