MIAMI -- Burger King Corporation today announced that it has acquired a total of 20 restaurants in Norfolk, Virginia from the Cimm's Restaurant Group. All staff and management in the purchased restaurants were offered positions with Burger King Corporation. As a result of the purchase, Burger King Corporation now owns 598 U.S. restaurants, of which 43 are in the state of Virginia. Burger King Corporation is expected to invest capital in these newly acquired restaurants, including remodeling the facilities in the new BURGER KING(R) image design, as well as kitchen and drive-thru enhancements.
