There are Nobel Prizes for peace and achievements in science, Oscars for acting, and the Pulitzers for writing. But where do achievements in energy efficiency and renewables get international recognition? The answer is gradually, but steadily, emerging: the Energy Globe Prize.

The Energy Globe ceremonies take place each year in Linz, Austria. The 2002 award ceremonies had celebrities, glitter, hype, and even a one-hour TV show that was broadcast internationally.
