A new initiative could make it easier for local job seekers to get to the interview -- and the job -- by public transit.
The San Diego Workforce Partnership is working with KGTV Channel 10 in holding a job fair July 6 at Qualcomm Stadium. The partnership is also working with the North County Transit District and the Metropolitan Transit Development Board to help potential job seekers get to the event.
The l0Leadership Day 2002 Job Fair has invited 100 companies to participate. And job seekers will be able to ride public transit to and from the event for free.
