SARASOTA _ The family of a woman killed by her ex-husband after appearing with him on "The Jerry Springer Show" is refusing the television tabloid talk show's demand for arbitration, attorneys for the family said Wednesday.
"We don't want to give up our right for a jury trial," attorney Ellis Rubin said in front of the Sarasota County courthouse. "We want six Sarasota citizens to sit in judgment on Jerry Springer."
Spokespeople for "The Jerry Springer Show" stated, "As part of our show procedure, guests who appear on the program agree that any disputes arising from their appearance on the show will be resolved by arbitration."
