Two words describe the clay and stone curiosity sitting in Dennis and Anne Tank's back yard: magnificent obsession.
The Minneapolis couple, avid cooks and energetic hosts, became preoccupied with earthen pizza ovens after several long vacations in the Tuscan countryside. Camped out at an 18th-century agriturismo, or tourist farm, outside Siena, they became enamored with all things Italian, particularly the ages-old tradition of making simple pizzas in wood-burning ovens.
