U.K. College: Educating `Fit And Proper' Planners

Personal financial planning is a new profession in the United Kingdom, and planners will have to win the public's trust by demonstrating that they know what they are doing. That, essentially, is what prompted the establishment of the College for Financial Planning (CFP) in Hertfordshire, according to Dr. Edwin Kerr, head of the college.
