Enterprise Oil Eyes Further Moves into the International Arena

LONDON - Enterprise Oil, the British independent created five years ago from the North Sea oil interests of British Gas, is looking further afield in order to underpin an aggressive program of expansion.

Last year, Enterprise purchased the North Sea holdings of Texas Eastern, which included assets in the Norwegian sector. The acquisition was largely responsible for the increase in Enerprise's daily output from about 89,200 barrels of oil equivalent in the first half of 1989 to about 120,000 b/d today.
