South Bay leasing, sales activity drop 23 percent
Area industrial vacancy rate remains under 10 percent
Leasing and sales activity in the South Bay industrial market dropped 23 percent during the second quarter, compared with the first quarter of 1990, according to a report released last week by The Seeley Co.
Specifically, some 1.91 million square feet of industrial space was either leased or sold in the South Bay during the second quarter, down from 2.47 million square feet in the first quarter.
The South Bay's overall industrial vacancy rate, however, remains relatively healthy at 9 percent.
