Lake County Board members agreed Friday to turn over sewer line easement property and settle a two-year-old lawsuit with a Chicago- based home developer and the village of Antioch.
The lawsuit, filed against the board by Deercrest Development and a host of other home builders and property owners, claims the county board refused to grant the easement needed for sewer lines to serve a proposed residential development at Route 173 and Savage Road.
In return for granting the easement, the settlement allows the county board to buy 180 acres at the site for use as forest preserve. The purchase is expected to ...
