DETROIT -- The Detroit Branch NAACP has invited gubernatorial candidates to its Town Hall Meeting scheduled on Wednesday, July 24th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Northwest Activities Center located at 18100 Meyers Road, Detroit. The panel discussion will also include questions from the audience that will specifically focus on insurance redlining, regional transportation, predatory lending, racial profiling, prison expansion and land bank authority.
The Primary Election is August 6 and, as a part of our "Take Your Soles to the Polls" campaign, we are continuing our efforts to increase the number of registered voters as well as educating voters on ballot issues, ...
