At a time when discussion of building a convention center seems to have coagulated on a back burner, a downtown development group is working to build consensus for a single site to keep the issue from getting cold.
The group evaluating potential convention center sites is a council of downtown property owners that is part of the Downtown Cleveland Partnership. The council's chairman, John Carney, principal of Landmark Management Co. of Westlake, said last week the group is reviewing four sites that have generated enough curiosity among downtown property owners to merit serious attention.
