A California library explores the symbiotic relationship of beta testing
Patron searches for health, fitness, and medical data are the fourth most requested information in our library. They follow consumer product, business, and student research in order of volume.
Due to growing interest in our health information resources, we had discussed the establishment of a Consumer Health Center where most of the library's medical and health-related reference works would be available. Just before this was done, we were approached by Information Access Company with a request that we serve as a beta site for the company's new Health Index Plus CDROM database.
