Jul. 24--A cervical cancer survivor filed a lawsuit in federal court last week against Lockformer Co., blaming the Lisle-based metal fabricator for her disease.
Laura Wroble of Lisle alleges that Lockformer's "failure to exercise reasonable care" led to releases of the chemical trichloroethylene, TCE, at various locations on Lockformer's Ogden Avenue property from 1969 to 1999. The suit also names Lockformer's parent company and a former chemical supplier as defendants.
