PRINCETON, N.J. -- In an important victory for New Jersey employers, the New Jersey Supreme Court ruled that a former employee could be compelled to arbitrate her statutory claims under the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination and Family Leave Act in accordance with an arbitration agreement contained in her employment application. Labor and Employment attorneys, Jill E. Jachera and Joseph A. Piesco, Jr. of the Princeton office of Morgan Lewis, successfully persuaded the court that Sandvik, Inc.'s arbitration agreement was valid even though it was contained in the Company's employment application.
