ABIX via COMTEX) -- An agreement between IBM Global Services Australia (IBM GSA) and Victoria Police remains troubled. Rumours suggest possible legal action and a cost overrun of at least $A50m above the original $A150m for the five-year outsourcing project. IBM GSA is a joint venture between IBM, Telstra and Lend Lease. The contract provided for upgrades to 400 police stations, a data centre and training. Two project executives have been charged with receiving secret commissions and a senior Victoria Police executive left after the contract was signed to go work for IBM.
