Bob Scribner, CGCS, is no stranger to most members of the California Golf Course Superintendents Association. Transitioning from a rookie superintendent to a seasoned veteran in what seems like overnight, he makes an impression on every person he meets.
Bob often is described as "just one of the guys." According to him, "What I do best is that I'm a people person."
Getting Started
Born in Coventry, Conn., Bob joined the Navy in 1964. After attending Hospital Corps School in Chicago, he was transferred to San Diego in 1965, where he attended Field Medical Training. Bob also served a tour in Vietnam with the Marines.
