Jul. 26--GALVESTON, Texas-- As a rule, if nothing unusual happens somewhere, it's not news.
But when nothing unusual happened in downtown Galveston on Thursday -- that was news.
For the first time in weeks, no downtown buildings vibrated or swayed as the Carnival cruise ship Celebration departed Pier 25 for a Caribbean cruise.
Tests carried out during the Celebration's departure on Saturday convinced Carnival Cruise Lines officials that vibrations in some buildings in recent weeks were caused by one of the ship's engines when operated at a particular power ...
