ABIX via COMTEX) -- There is a dearth of good financial planners in Australia, hence there is a great demand for them. However, Judith Beck, Financial Recruitment Group's managing director, says companies are unwilling to employ inexperienced planners, preferring planners to come ready-made with the necessary qualifications, to be good communicators and have lots of experience. The dealer groups are unwilling to employ new planners and wait while the latter grow their expertise. Employers particularly favour planners who can bring with them their own client base or be able to contact former clients.
