County, groups write OCC about Wells merger
The San Diego County Board of Supervisors and at least four community groups are writing to bank regulators to voice their concern about Wells Fargo & Co.'s proposed purchase of Great American Bank's California branches.
In their correspondence to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the county and other groups are addressing what they consider to be a dearth of small business and low-income housing loans originated by Wells Fargo.
