One day after getting knocked out of a game by a line drive back to the mound, Rolando Arrojo learned that he was also getting knocked out of the Red Sox' starting rotation.
Arrojo, who suffered a contusion on the right shin when he was hit by Jay Gibbons' liner up the middle, is expected to be replaced by Tim Wakefield when his turn in the rotation comes up again Wednesday in Anaheim, Calif.
Winless (0-1, 7.50 ERA) in three starts since being activated from the disabled list July 15, Arrojo allowed five runs in three innings in Friday's 9-2 loss to the Baltimore Orioles at Fenway Park.
