According to the Algeria Interface, Japan's NEC, the USA'S P-Com and ZTE Corp. from China are in the running for a bid to equip Alg?rie T?l?com with a wireless fixed telephone network serving 42 provinces, or wilayas. The network will use CDMA spread spectrum technology and have capacity of 130,000 lines. Sources say a technical commission from the Post and Information Technology Ministry will come up with the selected choice in August adding that the three bidders are putting in offers in the region of $100 million.
