Jul. 27--A casual observer might feel sorry for the man charged with keeping the JW Marriott's 536 hotel rooms filled.
A $45 taxi ride away from the airport, the former Resort at Summerlin and Regent Las Vegas suffered through construction delays, cost overruns and mistargeted marketing.
The former operators weren't able to sell enough room nights, and the hotel-casino went bankrupt.
But Clark Albright, the JW Marriott's director of sales and marketing, likes his job and predicts success for the reconstituted venture.
